What We Believe

Christ The King Lutheran Church is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

What Lutherans Believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God.

  • "That God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

  • "That it is by grace that we are saved, through faith and that not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."  Ephesians 2:8-9

  • "That Christ was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification."  Romans 4:25

  • "All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.    II Corinthians 5:18-19

  • "That we cannot by our own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ our Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Ghost has called us by the Gospel, enlightened us with His gifts, sanctified and keeps us in the true faith."

  • That God communicates all of the gifts of His grace to us by way of His means of grace - His Word and Sacraments. (Baptism and the Lord's Supper)
